Time to bug me!

Hiya I had a really exciting week last week, as Key 103 had ten grand to give away to the first person who could locate and trigger the Key103 Bug. Yes a credit crunch busting ten thousand quid!

Leigh Bowater from Salford worked out that The Bug was on the pedestrian strip outside the back of Lowry Outlet Mall. It was near a bench looking out across the Manchester Ship Canal towards Old Trafford.

He’s bagged himself a cool ten thousand pounds and said the first thing he’s going to buy is a Playstation 3 for his lad Scott. Lucky Scott! Christmas has come early for the Bowaters!

But The Bug doesn’t end there – we are going to carry it on and you can win yourself some cool cash by finding the device wherever we hide it across Greater Manchester! Listen to Key 103 to find out more or visit www.key103.co.uk/thebug We’ve been having a tremendous few weeks of celebrity guests on the show. On Monday we had Ireland’s sexiest man, no not Louis Walsh, Colin Farrell ! You can hear that interview again online at www.key103.co.uk/breakfast And whilst you are there you can also hear our Take That interview with from last Wednesday when Gary, Mark, Jason and Howard popped into Key103 ahead of the tickets going on sale for their 2009 UK tour. After four hours the tickets 4 hours they SOLD out … YES all gone!!! ( and guess who didn’t get any… CHELSEA!! – ha ha ha, but I’m sure she will get hold of some eventually!) Chelsea and I hosted the Trafford Centre Fireworks on Sunday night and it was a fantastic night! I’ve never seen such cool fireworks and there were hundreds and thousands of people there watching them with me, it was really cool. Check out some of the picture at www.key103.co.uk And this week, Chelsea and I are presenting a cheque for just over £50,000 to The Teenage Cancer Trust at The Christie. Its from the money we all raised during Key 103’s Cash for Kids Week. The Christie are going to build a special music therapy room for teenagers who are suffering from cancer. The music room will really help them to relax and mix with other teenagers to make their time in hospital a lot better.

Thanks again to EVERYONE who donated money to such a worthy cause, you really have made a difference.

I’m off help find some really good hiding places for The Bug! Don’t go asking me for any clues now!

Mike x
