THE Romulus Singers will be displaying their wide repertoire with a concert, 'If Music Be the Food of Love', at Holy Angels Church, Hale Barns, at 7.45pm on Saturday. May 6.
Romulus Singers, led by musical director Kate Shipway, is a mixed voice a cappella group of some 20 singers who present music in a wide variety of styles.
They include close harmony classics such as 'Blue Moon' or 'Goodnight Sweetheart' in a programme that ranges across several countries and centuries of sacred and secular music.
This also includes, besides Purcell's beautiful setting of Shakespeare's 'If Music Be the Food of Love', their own arrangement of Mozart's 'Ave Verum'.
Tickets: £8 (including refreshments), available from choir members in advance or at the door on the night
