ALL Saints Church, Hale Barns, will host a concert by Sale Male Voice Choir on Friday, April 28 at 7.30 in the church hall.

Among 15 popular songs will be the Fishermen of England by Montague Phillips, Stout-Hearted Men with words by Oscar Hammerstein and music by Sigmund Romberg and Anthem from Chess with words by Tim Rice and music by Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus (from Abba), arranged by Haydn James.

The concert will conclude with Monte Criste (When I survey the Wondrous Cross), music by Emrys Jones.

It will be in aid of the BOAZ Trust which helps destitute asylum seekers and refugees in Greater Manchester and IcFEM, a mission in Kimilili, Kenya which looks after the schooling and medical needs of disadvantaged children.

Michael Sargant, the church’s treasurer said: “We are looking forward to this event which will be the choir’s first visit to All Saints. We know of their fine reputation in this area and we also know some of the choir members.”
