ALTRINCHAM Junior Youth Choir has bagged a prestigious prize.
The choir, run by Trafford Music Service, won the Junior Choirs class at Hazel Grove Music Festival.
Its musical director, Margaret Curzon said: “They were presented with the Joe Agnew Trophy by his widow, Irene Agnew. Joe was the director of the Meadway Youth Choir and the Meadway Singers.”
The Altrincham Junior Youth Choir, who are aged from seven to 13, rehearse at St Hugh’s RC Primary School from 4 to 5 pm on Thursdays.
“I am very proud of them,” she said.
