URMSTON'S Jot Green aka 'Rum Thief', now living in Chorlton, is to perform a pre-release show of his up coming EP ‘Time To Make A Move’.

The event is set to coincide with the first anniversary of the suicide of Green's girlfriend Priya LLoyd. With this in mind 50 per cent of all proceeds of the event are going to the mental health charity 'The Sanctuary' in Manchester.

Rum Thief is solo artist Jot Green with support from his Chorlton-based band (Kieran Whitehouse , lead guitar; Gary Long, bass; and Chris Hobs, drums).

The project began when Jot, after playing as a drummer in bands for more than 10 years, decided to record some songs of his own. After successfully headlining the Manchester Ritz he got down to recording this third EP 'Time To Make A Move' at the legendary Hackney Road Studio with producer Shuta Shinoda (Ghost Poet 'Shedding Skin').

The EP, due for release on April 14, looks set to establish Rum Thief as an artist to keep a close eye on throughout 2017.

The EP pre-release event will be held at FAC251 on Princess Street, Manchester, on March 25 and starts at 7pm. Tickets are £5 each and are available online from http://www.ticketmoth.com/product/rum-thief_sanctuary/ or you can pay on the evening at £7 each.
