A TOUCH of magic has arrived in Sale thanks to the arrival of award winning drama school Urban Stage Theatre School with Harry Potter actress Imelda Staunton as star patron.

Students aged between five and 18 will be given the chance to learn from industry professionals who work in theatres across the country including the RSC and West End, as well as hit TV shows such as Hollyoaks, Prey, Scott & Bailey and Cold Feet.

The theatre school has an internationally renowned patron, Imelda Staunton, who not only has been in blockbuster films such as Harry Potter but is also a four-time Olivier Award winner.

The new branch has just opened its books for new places for budding young actors and actresses in the region, no previous experience required just an eagerness to learn and commitment to attending the classes.

Principal of Urban Stage, Helen Kay, said: “We are delighted to open another branch here in Sale and offer even more acting opportunities to young people across the North West.

"All our students benefit from valuable first-hand experience from the industry professionals. The aim is to build everyone’s confidence on and off the stage in a safe and relaxed environment.”

Urban Stage is held at Sale Grammar School.
