Manchester City have confirmed details for their hugely anticipated season launch party.

Taking place on August 5, the club’s annual music and awards party, City Live, is back for its third year and looks set to kick off the 2015/16 season in fine form.

Building on the success of previous events, Blues fans can expect to be treated to a night jam-packed full of football, entertainment, music and much more.

Hosting the event will be Natalie Sawyer and Mike Wedderburn from Sky Sports, who will use their unrivalled sports knowledge and football wisdom to lead the evening’s entertainment.

Music on the evening will be from the band Black Rivers. Jez and Andy Williams, two-thirds of the legendary band Doves, will be headlining the event playing to a packed out Manchester Central in the heart of the city.

The star-studded bash has become a highlight of the club’s annual calendar giving fans the opportunity to not only enjoy the entertainment on offer, but to also get up close and personal with their City heroes.

The event, renowned for being a big news night for the club, is when new signings and exclusives are presented to the City faithful. Guests at City Live 2014 were the first to hear the news that super striker and recent golden boot winner Sergio Aguero had signed a new five-year deal.

Manchester City Captain, Vincent Kompany, said: "City Live is something all the players look forward to, it’s the perfect opportunity to thank the fans for their amazing support, see the highlights of the previous campaign, but most importantly regroup and focus on the new season ahead. It is also a great way to welcome the new signings to the club and show them what being a part of City is all about."
