We’d like to mount our flatscreen TV on the wall. Where do we start?

A professionally wall mounted flatscreen television looks great in any room. The first step we take with clients is to discuss the best location to ensure they get the optimum viewing experience. We then get to work on practical considerations, such as fixing the bracket and the location of power/aerial/Sky sockets and other equipment, like DVD players and games consoles.
Is my wall strong enough? With the correct fixings and plenty of care, most TVs and brackets can be mounted on to any wall. However, there are certain situations when it’s necessary for us to reinforce a wall to ensure the TV stays firmly in place.
What about all the cables? To get a really sleek finish, we always look to bury them in the wall. But, if this isn’t practical, or we’re working to a budget then there are lots of other clever ways to keep the cables hidden.
Is this a DIY job? Yes, but when it comes to expensive TVs it’s one of those jobs that most people would rather leave to a professional. Give us a call we’re always happy to offer advice
