There are quite a lot of odd jobs to be done, and as the ‘man of the house’ I want to get them out the way and impress my wife-to-be. I was wondering what basic items I would need in my toolkit.

Firstly, good on you for opting to fix the bath yourself! This is a common problem; the silicone seal around a bath or shower will deteriorate over time.

I’m slowly being driven insane by the incessant dripping tap in my en-suite bathroom! How do I fix this?

I’ve just redecorated my daughter’s bedroom from a pink and fluffy Princess parlour to a chic and grown-up teenage space. The final touch to make the look complete is replacing the pink, glitter-stickered plug sockets with brass ones. I’m not entirely sure how to do this safely, could you shed some light?
