The beginning...

At the age of 23, Steven Cox acquired Trading Places in 1997.

He brought with him a wealth of experience in independent – and corporate estate agency and integrated systems from both, with the intent of making his business have a distinctly different quality of service from the competition.

In order to remain ahead of the competition, Steven has focused on cutting-edge technology, the internet and it’s increasing influence on advertising, traditional advertising, pro-active marketing and, most important of all, continually employing quality staff.

The present day...

Trading Places’ local experienced team of staff are the face of the company – and Steven knows that first impressions count.

Therefore, Trading Places only employs the best quality staff to ensure that the customer’s first impression is the right impression.

The value of this strategy is there for all to see, as the company has continued to expand, even in difficult times.

The areas covered...

Today, Trading Places has a network of four offices, which are all linked – and within areas that complement each other!

This allows clients to move into different areas and stay within the Trading Places network, providing a smooth transition and a one-stop shop.

The Stretford, Chorlton, brand new Urmston and Sale offices go hand in glove together, as Trading Places can maximise coverage of your property by advertising through all of its offices.

This is of particular benefit to people on the borders of any of the areas that Trading Places covers, as potential buyers will find your property in both offices.

Trading places covers Stretford, Urmston, Firswood, Partington, Chorlton, Old Trafford, Whalley Range, Hulme, Sale, Altrincham and West Didsbury.

The future...

Steven doesn’t believe in standing still, and with this in mind Trading Places plans to continuously expand and open more branches, with the Urmston office being the most recent venture.

Some of these will be under Trading Places’ direct ownership, while others will be through a

well-planned franchise system, allowing other experienced people in the property industry who aspire to own their own business the chance to do so.
