Fury at threat to Springfield

I would like to express my anger over the proposed demolition of some of the lovely terraced housing on Springfield Road in the centre of Altrincham for yet more office space?

Could somebody from the Planning Dept please give more information regarding this decision, as I find it completely unjustified?

We have very few buildings left in Altrincham that still retain their original character. We should be preserving them, not destroying them. Surely there is enough office space already in Altrincham to meet the current demand(a lot of existing office space is currently empty)!

I would also like to know why Station House, arguably the most impressive building in Altrincham, has been allowed to fall in to such a distgusting state?

It is vital that Altrincham invests for the future, and I am pleased to see the ongoing work. However, lets try to maintain as much as possible of the character of Altrincham, as it is this character that attracts people to the town.
