A Sale schoolgirl who was so impressed with the British countryside that she decided to write and thank Her Majesty, has received a letter from Buckingham Palace expressing the Queen's gratitude for her kindness.
She may look sweet and charming but watch out! Pint-size poppet Mia from Year 1/2 at Cherry Manor can certainly pack a punch when she wants to - and has a huge belt and champion's cup to prove it!
Cherry Manor Primary School in Sale is no longer in need of special measures according to Her Majesty's Chief Inspector. The decision made during the third HMI monitoring visit came as a result of the considerable improvements made to the school in the 14 months following an OFSTED inspection in September 2006. The provision of teaching and learning and personal development/well-being are now officially considered good.
