IRENE AGNES DOWD (Nee Swift) Died very peacefully at home on 11th January 2016. Loved wife of the late Tony. Beloved Mother to Hilary, Georgina, Adrian, Drusilla, Kevin and Jocelyn. Loving Grandma to Heath, Elliott, Morgan, Henrietta, Hugo, Felicity, Madeline, Rory, Esther, Johnnie, and Willow. Loving Great Grandma to Matthew and Alexander. Much loved Mother-in-Law to John, Peter, Yvonne, David, Charlotte, Malcolm and Mandy. Irene late of Chorlton, Gorse Hill Stretford and The Greatstone Hotel Chester Road Stretford. Irene will be truly missed by all her devoted family and her much loved American family and her many friends. One of life’s true characters who will never be forgotten. Funeral service to take place Friday 29th January at St John’s Catholic Church Chorlton at 10.am. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Diabetes UK.
